Another teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Solihull.

The latest male suspect - the age of whom has not been shared by police - was detained in Birmingham at about 04:30 GMT and taken into custody. A 17-year-old boy arrested on Tuesday has been released on bail.

It follows a stabbing in Marston Green on Tuesday, with emergency crews called to Station Road at about 18:20 GMT.

More than £1,000 has been donated to a fundraising appeal to support the mother of the dead boy, who is yet to be formally named by police.

The community group organising the appeal said the money would go towards funeral costs, and would allow the boy's mother to take time off work.

The group, which was founded by her, said the pair had had "a bond that was unbreakable".
