A fifth person has been charged with murder after a man was fatally stabbed last year in Liverpool.
Paul Foster, 47, was found injured at a home on Muirhead Avenue in the West Derby area of the city early on 15 October 2024, Merseyside Police said.
Mr Foster, from Newsham Park, had suffered a puncture wound and died in hospital later that morning.
Zayd Alasaly, 23, of Corinto Street, Toxteth, has been charged with murder. He has been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Four others have also been charged with Mr Foster's murder. They are:
Dylan Blundell, 26, of no fixed address
Elsadig Abrahim, 60, of Croxteth Road, Toxteth
Michael Fields, 49, of no fixed address
Sarah Kasseum, 40, of Lower Breck Road, Anfield
Det Ch Insp Steve McGrath said police were still keen to hear from anyone who has information about Mr Foster's death.
He said: "Do not presume that what you know is already known to us, contact us directly or anonymously through Crimestoppers and we will make the assessment.
"Thanks to all of those who have assisted us so far."
He also reminded people that "anything posted or shared on social media could jeopardise proceedings".
"The best way to help is to pass information on through official channels," he urged.
