Changes have been made to the 2025 Guernsey Air Display in order to attract more visitors.

Organisers said this year's show would take place on the evening of Wednesday 10 September in a change from its usual Thursday morning time slot.

A pyrotechnic team has also been added to the running order to close the event.

Russell Clark, Guardian of the Guernsey Air Display Foundation, said an evening display would allow the team to "recapture the magic".

'Evolve the event'

He said: "'Moving the Air Display to the evening allows us to evolve the event whilst keeping its core traditions and the aims of the display intact.

"It's a chance to welcome more spectators, try new ideas and ensure the display remains a highlight of Guernsey's calendar."

The Air Display relies almost solely on the support of the local business community to fund the event alongside a grant and underwrite from the States of Guernsey.

Flying display director Barry Neal said it was "very exciting to be doing something different".

He added: "We must thank Guernsey Airport, Aurigny and Blue Islands for their support to enable us to move the display.

"Everyone we have spoken to has been very positive about the move."

The event will run at the new time of 18:30 to 20:00 BST.
