Man becomes 18th person charged after Bristol unrest

An 18th person has been charged in connection with unrest in Bristol city centre.

Kieran Leach, of Keynsham, near Bristol, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Leach, 21, did not enter a plea for violent disorder. He is set to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 9 September.

A total of 31 people have been arrested after unrest on 3 August. Eight people have received prison sentences in relation to the day's events.
