Three people who were arrested after an elderly woman tried to make a "very large cash withdrawal" at a Newry building society have been released.

Police were called to the scene on Friday after staff became suspicious that the woman was being subjected to "controlling behaviours".

Two men aged 68 and 42, and a 69-year-old woman, were detained on suspicion of kidnapping, human trafficking and number of fraud offences.

On Sunday, police said all three suspects had been "released on bail to allow for further enquiries".
