Arrest after man seriously injured in stabbing

A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing in east Kent, police have said.
Officers were called to Northdown Road, near its junction with Ethelbert Road, in the Cliftonville district of Margate shortly after 03:00 BST.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition, said Kent Police.
A 20-year-old man from Thanet has been arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody.
The force said it was investigating the incident, including a forensic examination of the scene and looking at CCTV footage in the area.
The road has been closed in both directions.
Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
