A large fire broke out in an industrial building overnight in a quayside location which is home to multiple small businesses.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) was called at about 00:30 BST on Sunday to Standard Quay in Faversham, with six fire engines deployed to the scene.
No injuries have been reported and the cause is believed to be an electrical fault, KFRS said.
The regenerated commercial port is home to a number of businesses, including the Pottery Room, which fears its studio has been destroyed in the fire.
The small business posted on social media: "We have just found out from Facebook that our studio has been burnt down!
"We don't know when or what has happened, other than seeing pictures on Facebook."
Sonja Maria, who was at the studio on Saturday for her daughter's birthday, responded: "I hope you manage to find a way forwards from this, we will support your lovely business."
'Absolutely devastating'
Initially, KFRS advised people living or travelling near the quay to close their windows and doors due to a large plume of smoke.
But at 07:25 GMT, the service said people were no longer advised to do so. At 13:00, KFRS said that all firefighting operations are now complete.

The leader for the Liberal Democrat group at Swale Borough Council, Hannah Perkin, said: "If there is anything I can do to support you all, please let me know."
Rob Crayford, from Faversham Town Council, said: "Absolutely devastating to wake up to the fire at Standard Quay and the damage to hard-working local businesses."
Old English Tools, which had been hosting a rural craft fair at Standard Quay this weekend, confirmed that Sunday's event was cancelled.
Standard Quay has been contacted for comment.
