Work to resurface and install crossing points on the Grange is set to continue until 31 October

Police helped manage traffic after ongoing roadworks led to a large amount of congestion.

The next phase of work to resurface and install several crossing points on the Grange in St Peter Port started on Tuesday, with a road closure set up on Doyle Road.

Guernsey Police said officers were called out to the area after the closure was introduced as "a lot of traffic and congestion" had built up.

The force advised drivers to allow extra time for their journey on the route, with roadworks set to continue until 31 October.
