Another person has been arrested in connection with what detectives described as an "execution-style killing" last year.

Mustapha Jatta, 30, died from gunshot wounds after being found critically injured by police in Kings Langley, near Watford, at about 00:33 BST on 17 September.

Hertfordshire Police said they had arrested six others in recent weeks in connection to the death.

A seventh man, a 25-year-old from London, 25, has now been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Det Insp Adam Bridges, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "We remain focused and committed to doing all we can to identify anyone who may have played a part in Mustapha's murder.

"We have arrested a total of seven people in the last two weeks and we will continue our efforts to seek justice for Mustapha's family, friends and loved ones."

Another five people had been arrested in October.

Nobody been charged over the death of the father, who was from Nottingham and was found in Railway Terrace in the village.

Police believed he had arranged to meet people in a white Volkswagen Golf.

The car was thought to have "fled the scene at speed" along Railway Terrace and Primrose Hill, before it was discovered on fire in Furtherfield, Abbots Langley - about 2.8 miles (4.5km) away, at about 00:45.

In June, the charity Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information, external that would lead to a conviction.
