A man has been left fighting for life after being hit by a tram in Greater Manchester.

The 21-year-old was struck after 23:00 BST on Friday near Bullcote Lane, Oldham.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said he was taken to hospital with "serious, potentially life-threatening injuries" after he was hit on tram lines near the Shaw and Crompton Metrolink stop.

Tram services in the area have been severely affected by the incident.
