A police officer has been cleared of misconduct over claims she physically assaulted her partner during a row.

PC Vicki Silver, from Huddersfield, had denied repeatedly kicking her long-term partner in the ribs at their home in June 2022.

A police misconduct panel found the allegation against her not proven after a three-day hearing at West Yorkshire Police HQ in Wakefield.

Claims of controlling behaviour and stalking against PC Silver were also found not proven.

PC Silver's partner, who the panel ruled could not be named, told the hearing she had kicked him three times in the chest following a row.

But, giving evidence to the panel, PC Silver said that while an argument had taken place her partner had made up the allegation.

PC Silver, who joined West Yorkshire Police in 2004, had been suspended from duty pending the conclusion of the hearing.

The panel heard her partner had been convicted of assaulting her "a matter of weeks ago".
