Police have released CCTV images of a man officers are trying to trace after an arson attack at a disused pub.

A fire was reported at The Blue Bell Inn in Mansfield Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at about 14:50 GMT on 3 January.

The building was badly damaged as a result, but there were no injuries.

Nottinghamshire Police launched an arson inquiry on 15 January after an investigation determined the fire was started deliberately.

The force said it was "aware of the concern this incident has caused in the community".

Det Sgt Matt Scott said: "After reviewing a very large amount of CCTV footage, we would like to speak to the man pictured in these images as we believe he may be able to assist with our investigation.

"Whilst the footage of him is not very clear, we believe he will be recognisable to anyone who knows him."
