A five-year-old terrier cross, who spent almost three weeks on the run in Cornwall, has been reunited with his family.

Ozzie was reported missing by his owner Ingrid Cooke, from Leicestershire, on 10 May after he ran out of her car at the start of a family holiday on the Lizard peninsula.

Hundreds of people helped search for Ozzie, using social media to track his movements from Coverack to Ruan on the Lizard, before he was caught on Thursday.

The dog was reunited with its owner at Rosemullion Veterinary Hospital in Falmouth on Saturday.

Ozzie's owners spent the whole of their holiday on the Lizard peninsula trying to find him but had to head home empty-handed.

When she found out Ozzie had been found, Ms Cooke, 70, from Market Harborough, said: "I was jumping around the bedroom, laughing and crying."
