Dorfold Hall and surrounding estate, near Nantwich, is up for sale with a £11.4m price tag

A Grade I listed Jacobean hall in Cheshire has been put on the market with an estimated value of up to £11.4m.

Dorfold Hall, near Nantwich, is being sold along with a showground which forms part of a 40-hectare estate.

Estate agents Savills have also listed the property as a smaller lot, which includes the hall and a 21-hectare part of the estate which does not include the showground.

The sale includes a licensed venue for weddings and civil ceremonies, commercial kitchens, four cottages as well as outbuildings, 16 acres of woodland as well as ornamental gardens and a tennis court.

The house is surrounded by farmland and is in a “secluded yet easily accessible corner of South Cheshire,” according to Savills.

Nantwich Show was held at Dorfold Hall showground for 70 years

The showground, part of the estate, was home to the Nantwich Show for 70 years - which has attracted crowds of 35,000 each year - before it moved to Reaseheath College.

The showground has also hosted the Nantwich Spooktacular event and several other charitable events.

Savills said in recent years the infrastructure around the showground had been upgraded – including installation of an 8.5-foot (2.59m) security fence.
