A52 disruption warning after water main bursts

Temporary traffic lights will be put in place on the A52 Ashbourne Road

Drivers are being warned to expect disruption after a water main burst on the A52 in Derby.
The A52 Ashbourne Road was briefly closed in both directions between Markeaton Lane and the A38 Queensway on Wednesday morning due to the leak.
But, in a statement issued shortly after 07:30, Severn Trent said it had stopped the burst and would be putting temporary traffic lights in place.
A spokesperson for the water company apologised for the disruption and said its "main priority now is to fix the pipe".
They added: "We're really sorry for the inconvenience this will cause, but repairs will need to be done with a lane closed and two-way traffic lights in place.
"We will work as quickly as possible to get the repair done and the road put back to normal."
Part of the same road was closed in May due to a burst water main.
