Thousands of people turned out to watch Manchester's third annual Christmas parade.

More than 400 performers took part, including musicians and stilt-walkers.

Families braved the weather to line the route and watch the displays, including airborne puppetry.

Manchester City Councillor Pat Karney said: "Our Christmas Parade is 100% made for memories, and bringing families to enjoy special times together like this is what the festive season is all about."
