The mobility scooter rider was not seriously injured, Greater Anglia said

Train services were cancelled and delayed after a woman on a mobility scooter fell from a platform.

Greater Anglia said the woman was not seriously injured after the incident at Thetford station in Norfolk at about 15:30 GMT.

No trains were approaching at the time, but the rail operator said it halted all services while the person and their mobility scooter were retrieved.

The railway line was was reopened at about 17:00.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said one ambulance and one paramedic car were sent and the patient was taken to hospital for further assessment.
