One of Oxford's busiest roads was closed after a fish and chip van caught fire.

The fire engulfed the van on the Oxford ring road at about 13:00 GMT on Friday.

With gas cylinders onboard the van, the dual carriageway was closed both ways while fire crews fought the blaze.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said its crews were able to pump water from the river below the road to put the fire out.

The van and its contents were destroyed in the fire.
