A man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of a one-year-old girl on the Isle of Wight, have been bailed.
Jayla-Jean Mclaren died in hospital on 3 August after being admitted with serious injuries.
Before her death, a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Newport, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent before being bailed.
After being re-arrested, on suspicion of murder, on Tuesday and held in custody, detectives said on Wednesday they had been released on conditional bail until 12 November.
Officers said that their investigation into Jayla-Jean's death continues.
Police previously said they were called at 11:34 BST on 1 August to an address in Dairy Crest Drive, Newport, when the child was admitted to hospital.
