Thursday evening's Isle of Man TT qualifying session has been cancelled due to wet weather, organisers have confirmed.

Event organisers have confirmed a revised schedule for Friday, which will see qualifying sessions continue into the evening.

Thursday's session, which was due to see all classes set out on timed laps of the 37.7-mile (61km) course, had been scheduled to run from 18:30 BST.

Rain caused disruption to the opening day of the event on Monday, which meant the first timed laps of the event took place on Wednesday.

On Friday, the Mountain Road will close at 11:15 BST, with other roads on the course due to shut at 12:30.

Daytime schedule

  • 13:00 - Superbike and Superstock

  • 14:05 - Sidecars

  • 14:55 - Supersport and Supertwin

Roads around the course, with the exception of the Mountain Road, will then reopen between 16:30 and 18:00

Evening schedule

  • 18:30 - Superbike and Superstock

  • 19:20 - Supersport and Supertwin

  • 20:10 - Sidecars

All roads around the course are due to be reopened by 21:30.

Parking at the TT grandstand had been suspended due to the wet ground conditions, it was previously confirmed.
