Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the hand and ear after an "altercation".

The 32-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of Saturday in Wallasey, Wirral, and he sought help from people at the Wetherspoons pub, The Clairville, nearby at about 01:25 BST.

He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his wounds, which are not deemed serious, Merseyside Police said.

Two men from Liscard, aged 46 and 58, and a 38-year-old woman from Seacombe, who were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, have been bailed pending further inquiries.
