Man charged with attempted murder of infant

A man has been charged with attempting to murder an infant found with critical injuries.

Police were called to a property in Y Ferwig, in Ceredigion, just before 22:15 GMT on Wednesday following a report of concerns for an infant's welfare.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the child had been taken to hospital where they remain in a critical condition.

On Saturday, the force said Rhydian Jamieson, 27, from Cwm Cou, near Newcastle Emlyn, in Ceredigion, is in custody charged with attempted murder, and will appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court on Monday.
