Woman dies after Cornish school bus crash

A woman has died following a crash involving a car and school bus in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called out to the incident on Meaver Road, Mullion, at about 08:40 BST on Monday when a silver Vauxhall Astra and a double decker bus.
The force said a local woman in her 30s who was inside the car has died in hospital.
A boy who was also in the car is being treated at Bristol Children’s Hospital and is in a serious life-threatening condition, police added. Anyone with information about the crash has been asked to contact investigating officers.
'Tragic incident'
After the crash the road was closed for several hours while initial investigations took place with paramedics and firefighters also called out to the scene.
It was confirmed by the Truro and Penwith Academy Trust the bus involved had pupils from Mullion School on it.
Police said 27 children who were on board the bus sustained minor injuries while another suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Sgt Phil Brown, from the serious collisions investigation team, said: "We are working in conjunction with the school and our partners to ensure everybody receives the support they need following this tragic incident.
"Our thoughts continue to be with everybody involved."
