A-road reopens following multi-vehicle collision

An A-road has reopened after being closed southbound following a multi-vehicle collision.

National Highways said the A12 was closed between junction 29 and junction 27, near Colchester, Essex, at about 19:15 on Saturday.

It said Essex Police were at the scene of the incident and that traffic on approach was being diverted, before the diversion was later contained to the area around junction 29.

Drivers had been advised to plan ahead of their journey, but the road was open again on Sunday morning.
