A derelict pub is set to undergo a major revamp and reopen as part of a city's £200m urban transformation.
Hospitality brand Loungers has taken over the former Chambers' building in Gloucester, which closed fives years ago during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bosses say they plan to breath new life into the 5,000 sq ft (464.5 sq m) space, which is based in the heart of Kings Square.
It is hoped the new venue will open by summer 2026 and will create up to 40 new jobs.

Loungers opened the Malto Lounge in Warminster at the beginning of September
Alex Kalebic, head of acquisitions at Loungers, said: "We are looking forward to bringing our well-loved family-friendly, all-day offer, and to playing our part at the heart of this exciting regeneration scheme."
Plans for the space include external seating overlooking the newly regenerated Kings Square public space.
'Prominent' venue
Councillor Jeremy Hilton, leader of Gloucester City Council, said this is "another huge step towards the transformation of the city".
"We know there's been lots of interest in this site particularly as it's so prominent in Kings Square."
The building is a key part of the £200m regeneration taking place around Kings Quarter.
This scheme will see new homes, bars, restaurants and a hotel built around Kings Square and Kings Walk Shopping Centre.
It also includes an £107m large cyber hub called The Forum that's expected to create up to 1,500 jobs.
