Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Bexhill

A man has died after he was hit by a car on Saturday night in Bexhill, police have said.

Sussex Police said the crash happened at 20:20 GMT on 23 November on the A259 Barnhorn Road, outside Custom Café.

The victim, an 82-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed. They are being supported by specialist officers.

The force added the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Anyone who saw the crash, or has dashcam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact Sussex Police.
