Applications for the Condor Community Fund have opened for requests from both Jersey and Guernsey.

Donations from the ferry company's fund are aimed at environmental and community based projects.

This year, the fund is donating £30,000 to local organisations and charities.

Condor will consider sustainability, local benefit, community enjoyment, and how well they will work after completion, when looking at which initiatives to choose.

'Support their efforts'

Community groups, unincorporated associations, cooperatives, schools, social enterprises, individuals and amateur sports clubs, are all eligible to apply.

Justin Amey, head of sales and marketing at Condor, said: "We are happy to hear from individuals and groups from all the Islands.

"Many give up their time for community activities and we would like to support their efforts in making a real difference, not just now but into the future."

Applications, external for the fund are now open and close on the 28 June.
