Ozzy the mechanical bull that became the star of Birmingham's Commonwealth Games is marking one year since going on public display at Birmingham's New Street Station.

Previously known as Raging Bull, Ozzy was due to be dismantled at the end of the 2022 Games but was saved after a public campaign and later roared into life at the busy rail hub.

Passengers and shoppers can join in celebrations at the station this weekend and enjoy a free cupcake, have their photo taken with the metal bovine and sign his giant special birthday card, Visit Birmingham said.

Nearly 2,000 names were put forward as suggestions on what to call the structure, with Ozzy - named after the Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne - coming top.
