Staff were praised for their kind and compassionate behaviour towards residents

Care home staff have been praised for going "above and beyond" for residents during their first inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors visited Montagu Hall Care Home in Mexborough in October and November, where they found that "staff treated people with dignity and respect" and went "above and beyond to enable them to feel fully supported".
The home provides residential care for older people, some of whom are living with dementia.
Tiffany Cooke, the care manager, said: "We are incredibly proud to have been awarded an outstanding rating from our first CQC inspection, this recognition reflects the team's dedication, compassion and professionalism."
Montagu Hall opened in November 2023 and cares for up to 66 people.
Victoria Marsden, CQC deputy director of operations for adult social care in the north, said staff were kind and compassionate, with residents encouraged to take part in a range of activities.
"We heard about the home arranging an Indian dance instructor to visit," she said.
"Also, someone told us that they like it when children come from the local nursery and they do activities together. They also love it when people bring their dogs in for a visit."

Inspectors found the staff ensured medicines and treatments were safe and workers listened to any concerns about safety.
"Any risks associated with people's care and support were identified and there were clear plans in place to reduce these risks," Ms Marsden said.
"For example, the home ensured that someone who was at risk of choking was supervised whilst eating their meals to help keep them safe."
Ms Cooke welcomed the inspectors' findings and praised staff, residents and their families: "This outstanding rating is a milestone we share with all of them."
