Worthing FC has sent £1000 towards the recovery of a Farnborough player injured in a fixture with the club last Wednesday.

Midfielder Aaron Kuhl suffered a serious leg injury, resulting in two broken bones which will put him out of action for several months and require rehabilitation for a full recovery.

The money was sent to a GoFundMe set up by Farnborough FC to help the player with rehabilitation costs.

"Everyone at the Club sends Aaron our absolute best wishes and we hope to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible," Worthing FC put on their X.

Kuhl's former manager at Dorking and the owner of the club, Marc White, also donated £500 towards his recovery costs.

"Kuhl is a warrior and the nicest lad you could meet," White said on X. "I am gutted for him.

"Any of our supporters that can help would be appreciated no matter what the amount."

Farnborough FC shared a similar sentiment, encouraging people to donate, "whether that be as a fan, friend or just someone who wants to help him".

In a previous injury, Kuhl worked with Go Perform, a sports injury and performance centre.

While his aim is to use the same facility to help his recovery again, rehab is not cheap, which prompted the club to set up the GoFundMe to help him with rehabilitation costs.

The GoFundMe has currently exceeded the £10,000 target with the present 361 donations amounting to £12,727.

Kuhl underwent surgery last Thursday and is now recovering.

"Everyone at Farnborough FC is sending our thoughts to Aaron and his family during this time, and we hope to see him back in yellow as soon as possible," the club said.
