A free event has been arranged in London as part of a project to promote Jersey across the world.

The government said an official launch event for Jersey Connections was set to be held at the Army and Navy Club in Pall Mall, central London, from 18:00 GMT to 20:00 on 5 December.

Ministers said they launched the initiative in May to build a global network of people who were born or lived on the island, but had since moved away, to help boost Jersey socially, culturally and economically.

Free tickets for the launch event, which will have representatives from the government and Skills Jersey, are available online or by emailing Jersey Connections.
