A secondary school in Herefordshire has temporarily closed due to a suspected gas leak.

The county council confirmed the Aconbury Centre in Aconbury had closed on Friday.

A spokesperson for the school said: "Parents and carers have been informed and engineers are on site inspecting. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we can."

The Aconbury Centre is a Key Stage 3 centre supporting temporary intervention placements for pupils in Years 7-9, as well as offering a small number of permanent places for pupils who cannot access mainstream schooling.
