M60 reopens after rush hour standstill

Delays of at least 30 minutes were expected between junctions 6 and 8

Major rush hour delays were caused by a police incident on the M60 in Greater Manchester.
The clockwise carriageway between junction 6 at Sale and junction 8 at Carrington was at a standstill from shortly after 07:00 BST.
Greater Manchester Police posted on X, external at about 10:35 that the motorway had reopened.
GMP said: "Following an earlier police incident, the M60 has now re-opened between junctions 6 and 8.
"A man has been safely taken from the area and is now in the care of medical professionals.
"We thank the public for their patience while this work was carried out."
