Man charged over rape and robbery in Camelon

A 37-year-old man has been re-arrested and charged in connection with a rape and robbery in the Camelon area of Falkirk.

Officers said two men gained access to a building on Main Street between 20:00 and 20:40 on 5 October and seriously sexually assaulted and robbed a woman.

The man is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court later.

Police said inquiries into the incident were continuing.

Det Insp Forbes Wilson said: "I'd like to again thank the local community for their assistance so far and would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have private or dash-cam footage, to come forward."
