Road closure for 11 nights of works to begin

Carriageway works will be undertaken at the southern end of Croydon Road in Caterham

A road in Surrey is due to close later for the first of 11 nights of construction work.
Croydon Road will be closed from 20:00 until 06:00 GMT each night until Friday 4 April, Tandridge District Council has said.
The authority said the closure was required for carriageway works on Croydon Road at the southern end, close to the roundabout junction with Station Avenue.
The closure is part of wider roadworks to improve Croydon Road's footpaths and water drainage.
The works, which commenced in February 2024, have been beset by several issues delaying completion until 2025.
