Stairs to a beach have been closed after a cliff fall, coastguards have said.

Access to Tolcarne Beach in Newquay, Cornwall, is now only possible by road.

Coastguards said "a section of cliff" gave way on Friday morning, leading them to close the stairs as well as the pavement directly above the beach.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police attended the cliff fall, along with coastguards from Padstow, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service staff, RNLI lifeguards and Cornwall Council workers.
