A town mayor and councillor has been suspended by the Labour party.
Ross Armour was appointed as Mayor of Corby, external in May but has resigned the role following his suspension.
He now sits as an independent councillor on North Northamptonshire Council.
The BBC has contacted Mr Armour for a response.
Mr Armour was first elected as a councillor in 2021 to the new unitary and town councils.
He was born and raised in Corby and served for four years as secretary of the local constituency Labour Party.
He is also a Highland dancing teacher.
He had chosen Corby Mind as his mayor's charity for the year.
In a statement, the leader of the North Northamptonshire Council Labour group, Matt Keane, said: "I was made aware that the Labour Party had administratively suspended Cllr Ross Armour.
"This also means that he is not able to represent the Labour Party on North Northamptonshire Council and Cllr Armour now sits as an independent."
Corby Town Council said: "At a full council meeting held on September 4th, it was resolved to elect William Colquhoun as Mayor for the remainder of the civic year.
"This follows the resignation of Cllr Ross Armour from office.
"For the rest of this civic year, Cllr Callum Reilly remains Deputy Mayor and Northamptonshire MIND will remain the Mayor’s charity."
