Plan to build 33 affordable homes to be considered

The development will include a mix of flats, houses and bungalows

A decision will soon be made on plans to build 33 affordable homes on former NHS land.
Wiltshire Council wants to build the homes on land next to the Devizes Health Centre and will be made up of 60% social housing 40% shared ownership.
The properties would include a mix of one and two bedroom flats, three and four bedroom houses and two bedroom bungalows.
The council said its approach to 100% affordable housing "reflects the significant local need for affordable homes". Wiltshire Council Eastern Planning Area committee will consider matters such as appearance, landscaping and layout at a meeting on Thursday.
NHS property services were granted outline planning permission for the development last year.
The council's planning officers are recommending councillors approve the plans and Devizes Town Council has described the proposals as "desirable" but has expressed concerns over potential noise from the air source heat pumps that the homes will use.
Wiltshire Council said the development "provides a range of dwelling types, flats, houses, and bungalows, supporting different household sizes and including provision for older and less mobile residents".
