A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a 10-year-old girl was left seriously injured in a park.
A group of children were playing in the park next to the school in Prince's Street in Metheringham, near Lincoln, at about 15:30 GMT on Monday when the girl was injured, Lincolnshire Police said.
The force said she remained in hospital but her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released on conditional bail.
A 12-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm without intent, but has since been released with no further action.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the children in the park at this time, or have dash cam or doorbell footage from the area.
"We are also asking parents to talk to their children to see if they may have witnessed anything."
