With September starting this week, it seems autumn has arrived and brought rain to the county.
However, families still enjoyed a festival in the Mendips and without rain, there would be no rainbows like the one captured in Stolford.
Take a look at these and more pictures from across Somerset this week.

Family fun: The Mendip Family Festival returned for its third edition at Mendip Basecamp in Churchill this past weekend and was a complete sell-out.
Despite spells of rain, nothing dampened the atmosphere, with festival-goers embracing a weekend full of music and film.

Jane Austen: The 250th anniversary of one of Bath's favourite writers is set to be celebrated at the Theatre Royal with a new stage adaptation of Jane Austen's comedy of manners, Emma.
Starring India Shaw-Smith (pictured right) as Emma, and directed by Stephen Unwin, Theatre Royal Bath Productions will present the production in Bath from 11-20 September.

Medical research: The research and Parkinson's teams at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust have teamed up on a trial that aims to find out whether cannabidol (or CBD) is an effective treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease, who also experience psychosis.

Tranquil train: East Somerset Railway hosted the magnificent Britannic Explorer - Belmond's luxury sleeper train this week.
The train made the railway its overnight home as part of its exclusive Cornwall journey, with guests enjoying the tranquil Somerset countryside before departing in the morning.

Music award: Glastonbury Brass won an award for Best Band at The White Horse Inn in Stourpaine.
The band's conductor, Liam Grunsell, also won Best Programme; principal cornet Kev Robbins won Best Soloist, and to top it all off, the band also received Best Deportment.

Over the rainbow: A BBC weather watcher captured this rare full rainbow over a field in Stolford.

Books and therapy: Visitors to Taunton's library will now be able to pre-book free Occupational Therapy assessments along with all the other library services on offer.
Taunton's Somerset Independent Living Centre is the third of its kind in the county but the first to be housed in a library.
