Charities and organisations will have the opportunity to apply for a £5,000 grant from the government.

The Connect Me grant scheme aimed to "build a more connected and healthier community", the government said.

Since 2022, it said the scheme had supported 159 projects, benefitting more than 40,000 islanders.

The government said funds would support projects focused on the arts, culture and physical activities.

"The scheme fosters collaboration between local charities and helps create a sense of community by increasing the wellbeing of islanders through arts and physical activities," it added.

Grant applications open on Monday 3 March and will close on Friday 4 April.
