Ten-month-old girl dies after Tavistock car crash

A 10-month-old girl has become the second person to have died after a two-car crash near Tavistock in Devon, police have said.
The incident, in which a 46-year-old man also died, happened at about 12:55 BST at Iron Railings Cross on Monday.
The girl had been taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital with serious injuries but died in the early hours of Thursday.
Devon and Cornwall Police said an investigation was ongoing after a man in his 30s was arrested.
The suspect, from Peterborough, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
He was later released on bail, pending further inquiries.
A spokesperson for the force said the collision involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Kia Rio.
The 46-year-old man, who was the front seat passenger in the Kia, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three people remain in hospital with serious injuries and three others suffered minor injuries and have since been discharged from hospital.
Sgt Troy Bennett, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Team, said: "This is a tragic incident, and the thoughts of our officers are with the family and friends of all those involved.
"This will have shocked and saddened the community, especially with the death of a young child."
