Peaky Blinders film to be shot in Bradford

Filming for the new Peaky Blinders movie is set to begin in the Little Germany area of Bradford.
Starring Cillian Murphy, the hugely successful TV show followed the escapades of a Birmingham crime gang in the years after World War One.
Creator Steven Knight is at the helm for the film, with Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy set to reprise his role as Tommy Shelby.
Shooting is due to start later, with temporary road closures in place until Sunday.
The drama had previously been slated for seven series, but the pandemic forced bosses to stop short after six.
The film will take the place of the seventh series, it is understood, with shooting in Birmingham starting last month.
Speaking in 2022, Cillian Murphy said: “I think Steve has always had an endgame in mind. Covid screwed that up a bit. But now he’s got lots of plans to make a film.
“So I don’t think this is the end of the story. I think it’s probably just the end of the story in this form.
“But Steve is always bringing up ideas, and they're always good. So I'll just wait and see what he has to say.”
Filming is also taking place at other locations in West Yorkshire, including Leeds.
Residents and businesses in Little Germany have received letters from production company Oblik Productions Limited outlining the dates and times of the road closures.
The following streets will be shut during filming:
Burnett Street, Cater Street, Hick Street, Vicar Lane, Currer Street, Field Street, Aked Street - closed until Sunday..
Chapel Street closed Wednesday to Friday and Back Chapel Street closed on Friday
Parking restrictions are in place om on Park Gate and Peckover Street, which will also close for one day on Friday as well as Scoresby Street.
Peaky Blinders’ six-series-run on TV was shot at locations across the UK, including Dalton Mills in Keighley.
The main mill in the Grade II* Listed complex where filming took place was destroyed in an arson attack in March, 2022.
Peaky Blinders is the second major movie to be filmed in Bradford in recent months, with the city's disused Richard Dunn Sports Centre being used to shoot parts of Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later.
