A man has been jailed for stabbing his ex-girlfriend's partner during an argument.
Kieran Hutchinson, 31, of Ludgershall in Wiltshire, was jailed for four years and 10 months at Winchester Crown Court on Friday.
The court was told that during the incident on 25 August 2024, Hutchinson threw a paving slab through his ex-partner's front door, before going inside and gathering multiple knives to attack her boyfriend.
He pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, having an article with a blade or point in a public place and criminal damage.
Wiltshire Police say Hutchinson, of Abbatt Close, turned up at the home in Taylor Crescent, Ludgershall, following a disagreement between the pair.
The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered injuries to his arm and his hand which required emergency hospital treatment.
A wanted appeal was sent out and Hutchinson was arrested a few days later.
Det Supt Toni Nugent from Wiltshire Police said: "Hutchinson went to his ex-partner's property with the intention of causing serious harm to her partner.
"Following an initial altercation outside the house, he then went inside to find weapons to use against him.
"Hutchinson's actions were completely unacceptable, and it is fortunate that the victim's injuries were not significantly worse."
Hutchinson was also handed an extended licence period of four years.
