Teenager dies after fall from bridge on A9 in Inverness

An 18-year-old man has died after falling from a bridge and being hit by a lorry on the A9 in Inverness.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to the dual carriageway near the Raigmore Interchange at about 07:20.
The road and bridge were closed for several hours for police investigations.
Police Scotland has launched an investigation into the circumstances, but said the incident was not believed to be suspicious.
Ch Insp Richard Ross said: “We are continuing to piece together exactly what has happened and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, who has not spoken to us, to get in touch, external."
