Man arrested after Belfast stabbing released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man in his 30s was stabbed in the neck in north Belfast has been released on bail.

The incident happened on Monday 4 November shortly after 00:20 GMT in the St. Vincent Street area.

The man was stabbed as he walked along the street.

He was taken to hospital for his injuries.

A 32 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public space but has been subsequently released on bail.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
