Girl, 16, injured after being hit by motorbike

A 16-year-old girl is in hospital after she was struck by a motorcycle while crossing a road.

South Yorkshire Police said the teenager was seriously injured in the crash on Eckington Way, Halfway, in Sheffield at 15:10 BST on Friday.

She was hit by a black Benelli BN125 and the rider stopped at the scene.

The motorcyclist has assisted police with their inquiries and officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
