A boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Bonfire Night in Paisley.

The 13-year-old was seriously assaulted in the town's Gauze Street area at about 20:55 on Wednesday.

He was taken for treatment to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

Police Scotland said it was following a positive line of inquiry regarding the incident and that an investigation was ongoing.
