Raiders have torn a cash machine out of a wall of a Tesco Express store in Suffolk.

Police are investigating the ram-raid at the store on Turnpike Road in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, at 01:50 GMT.

A telehandler/forklift-type vehicle was used to rip out the machine before it was loaded on to a blue Ford Transit van, which drove in convoy with an Audi towards the A11, officers said.

Detectives believe four suspects wearing masks carried out the raid, with the forklift being stolen from a nearby construction site before being abandoned. Witnesses have been asked to come forward.

A telehandler was used to remove a cash machine from a Sainsbury's store in Milton Keynes last month, as footage showed.
