Thieves steal trailer with £90k worth of alcohol in Lanarkshire

Thousands of pounds worth of whisky was among the alcohol stolen

Thieves have made off with £90,000 worth of alcohol after stealing a trailer parked in North Lanarkshire.
The vehicle contained high value whisky and liqueurs and had been left parked within a secure premise in High Street, Shotts.
The theft took place at about 02:50 on Sunday.
Police Scotland have appealed for anyone with information to contact them, external.
Det Con Christine McLanachan said: "We're appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident or with any information to get in touch.
'I'd also ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage to check it in case it has captured anything that could assist our inquiries."
